3-Hour Highlights Itinerary for the Uffizi Gallery

This version builds on the 2-hour route and adds more breathing room plus a few extra important works.

Recommended 3-Hour Route

0:00 – 0:15 | Entry & Early Renaissance
Go up to the second floor.
Rooms 2–8: Giotto’s Ognissanti Madonna, Duccio, and early Renaissance works.
Take a bit more time here to see the transition into the Renaissance.

0:15 – 0:55 | Botticelli Rooms (Rooms 10–14)
The Birth of Venus
Primavera
Other major Botticelli paintings
Spend the most time here (about 40 minutes).

0:55 – 1:25 | Leonardo, Michelangelo & Raphael
Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation
Michelangelo’s Doni Tondo
Raphael’s key portraits and paintings
Move a little slower and enjoy the details.

1:25 – 1:45 | High Renaissance & Venetian Masters
Titian and other important High Renaissance / Venetian works.
Quick look at the Tribuna if open.

1:45 – 2:00 | Terrace Break
Café terrace overlooking Piazza della Signoria.
Good moment to rest your legs and enjoy the view.

2:00 – 2:35 | First Floor – Caravaggio & Baroque
Caravaggio’s Medusa, Bacchus, and other works
Artemisia Gentileschi’s Judith Slaying Holofernes
A few nearby 17th-century paintings

2:35 – 3:00 | Final Rooms & Exit
Browse a couple of additional rooms on the first floor if energy allows.
Exit through the bookshop (optional).

Summary
2 hours** → pure highlights, faster pace
3 hours** → same highlights + more time to linger + early Renaissance + better break
