1. Key Rule: Reservations Are Always Mandatory
You must reserve a seat, couchette, or sleeper on every night train — even if you have a 
Eurail or Interrail Pass. The pass covers the journey, but not the accommodation.

Via the official Eurail/Interrail reservation system (small booking fee applies)
Some routes can also be booked through B-Europe or national railway sites

Without a Pass (regular tickets):
Book as early as possible on the operator’s website for the cheapest fares (dynamic pricing)
