==== 1-Day Itinerary in Seville, Spain ====

<code>
Seville is compact and walkable in the historic center, so you can see the main highlights in one full day without feeling too rushed.
Morning: Royal Alcázar & Cathedral

    Start early at the Real Alcázar (aim for opening time, around 9:30 am).
    This is Seville’s top attraction — a stunning Mudéjar palace with beautiful courtyards, rooms, and extensive gardens.
    Book timed tickets in advance (highly recommended, especially in peak season). Allow 1.5–2.5 hours.
    Walk a few minutes to the Seville Cathedral (Catedral de Sevilla) and La Giralda.
    The world’s largest Gothic cathedral. See Christopher Columbus’s tomb and climb the Giralda tower (ramps, not stairs) for panoramic city views.
    Allow 1–1.5 hours. Tickets also best booked ahead.

Midday: Santa Cruz & Lunch

    Wander the charming Barrio de Santa Cruz (former Jewish quarter).
    Narrow whitewashed streets, orange trees, hidden plazas, and flower-filled patios. Perfect for photos and getting a bit lost.
    Lunch / Tapas: Try classic Andalusian tapas. Good options near Santa Cruz include Bodega Santa Cruz (“Las Columnas”), Casa Morales, or similar traditional bars. Order at the bar for the authentic experience (often includes a free tapa with drinks).

Afternoon: Plaza de España & Park

    Head to Plaza de España and Parque de María Luisa (15–25 minute walk or short taxi/bus).
    The semi-circular plaza with colorful tiled alcoves (one for each Spanish province), bridges, and canal is one of Seville’s most photogenic spots.
    Stroll the park afterward if you have energy. Allow 1–1.5 hours.

Late Afternoon / Evening Options

    Optional extras (choose 1–2 depending on energy):
        Metropol Parasol (Las Setas) for modern architecture and rooftop views.
        Torre del Oro by the river.
        Cross the river to Triana for a more local neighborhood vibe, river views, and evening atmosphere.
    Evening:
    Enjoy a flamenco show (book ahead for popular tablaos) or continue with a tapas crawl.
    End with a rooftop drink if you like.

Practical Tips

    Book in advance: Real Alcázar and Cathedral tickets (skip-the-line is worth it).
    Walking: Most of the day is on foot in the center. Comfortable shoes are essential.
    Heat: In warmer months, start early and take siesta-style breaks.
    Transport: Everything listed is walkable from the historic center. Use taxis or the tram/bus only if needed for Plaza de España or Triana.
    Food: Tapas culture is key — small plates, shared, and frequent.

This covers Seville’s absolute must-sees: the Alcázar, Cathedral/Giralda, Santa Cruz, and Plaza de España.
